Mind Body Connections
Finding the therapeutic approach that fits your needs.
Supportive Therapy aims to focus on helping you work through present and immediate concerns, including relationship issues, family conflicts, or work-related stress. This therapy works to build self-esteem and confidence via active listening, emotional support, and validation.
Mind Body Connections
Mental Health Counseling offers a traditional approach and often dives into a person's past and traumas to understand where they are currently. Counseling aims to support while also attempting to identify and change maladaptive thoughts and behaviors using talk therapy or various other types of therapies including CBT, EMDR, etc.

meet
Carrie Farnsworth,
PMHNP-BC, FNP-C
Hi! My name is Carrie Farnsworth. I am excited to join the Mind Body Connections team! I am an advanced practice nurse practitioner and am board-certified in psychiatry and family medicine. I have a lifetime history of diverse roles in different healthcare settings since the age of 14 when I started as a CNA. I later received my nursing degree in 2012 from the University of South Dakota and worked in rural healthcare, mainly in critical access hospitals until obtaining my MSN in nursing from Walden University in 2022.
I started practicing as a family nurse practitioner for Monument Health, working in psychiatry as a consult liaison nurse practitioner at the main hospital, later transferring over to the inpatient psychiatry unit full time. I developed a passion for mental health care which led to me pursuing my psychiatric specialization. I graduated from Walden University in November 2024 with a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner MSN degree.
I am passionate about offering integrative mental health services to help improve the emotional and physical well-being of others. I believe in whole body, comprehensive healthcare delivered in a patient-centered approach.
